$750,000 settlement on behalf of employees of J.C. Penney

January 13, 2016- New York, New York- Louis Ginsberg Law Offices is pleased to announce a $750,000 settlement in a wage and hour class action on behalf of approximately 1,700 current and former hourly employees of J.C. Penney who worked at the Staten Island and Manhattan stores.  Plaintiffs alleged that the Defendant failed to pay them for time worked off the clock after the end of their shift and during meal breaks.  The proposed settlement class has filed a motion seeking preliminary approval of the settlement.
